During one of the CCNP Routing & Switching courses I was teaching, we had an unexpected but delightful guest — the young child of one of the participants. While the rest of us were deep into VLAN configurations and command-line interfaces, he was fully immersed in his own little world on the screen.
This simple moment reminded me that technology isn’t just about systems and networks — it’s also about people, families, and the everyday stories that unfold in the classroom.
Maybe one day this little guy will be back — but this time, as an engineer himself.
